The International Business Week site identified a winner of Business Exerciser: Developing Territories Case Championship. First place went to a team fr om the Leninsky District of Ufa, second place went to a team fr om Neftekamsk, and third place went to a team from Salavat. The winners received valuable prizes from the Fund for the Development and Support of Small Business of the Republic of Bashkortostan: The Business Sheriff - a certificate of 100 thousand roubles, and the team members - certificates for online courses at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. - At the municipal stage, three games were held in the cities of Neftekamsk and Ufa, in which 40 teams from all over the republic participated. A business simulator wh ere representatives of business and municipal authorities work in one team Development of Territories, was developed by the National Centre for Monitoring and Analysis. The cases were developed jointly with the relevant ministries and departments of the region, and the solutions to specific tasks for the development of territories are of a practical nature. All initiatives and proposals formed during the simulator will be analysed and submitted to government authorities,’ commented Zukhra Gordienko, Acting Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The final competition consisted of two stages: regional tourism development and small business development of the country's constituent entities. Twelve teams competed in it. The participants generated various options and methods to improve the region's tourism attractiveness and small business development.

- The competition helped identify the best practices and solutions that can be applied locally. We have to work on a point-by-point basis, taking into account the peculiarities of each territory, to ensure sustainable development of the region's economy,’ commented Eliana Saitova, CEO of the Foundation for Development and Support of Small Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

International Business Week 2024 takes place in Ufa from 3 to 6 December. The Forum is traditionally organised by the Government of Bashkortostan.

The Forum includes an exhibition, gastro-festival and B2B negotiations, wh ere guests and participants can learn about the experience of their colleagues and expand the list of business contacts. The programme also includes awarding of specialists in the sphere of public administration and business.
